Short break holiday deals with Groupon, Wowcher etc
Avoid, theyre a scam. I booked a 3 night deal to go to Budapest with the Mrs that included flights and an apartment. When I called the company that had done the deal via wowcher, they told me that I had to pay a surcharge on the deal as advertised. I told them bollocks and found better flights on the same day and a much better apartment for cheaper overall, just by going on skyscanner and booking.com.

Innit - women are attracted to this shit like moths to a flame. Birds at work are obsessed with it. I always arrange my own trips and book everything separately. One year my bird booked us a trip to morroco via last minute. Com. It was shit and very convoluted and I could have arranged a much smoother trip myself that would have cost less. Women are like magpies when it comes to 'special deals', for some reason

Bruuuno - my Mrs saw the deal and wanted it as a christmas present and I was too tired/ drunk to check at the time.

Double dot - I've found that depends who you can get to speak to. When I was away for a few months id turn up to a hotel id seen on a booking site to see if they'd offer a discount on the website price. If it was the owner, they always would, if not, they'd only offer the walk up price, which was always a lot more. I often found myself standing in front of a receptionist booking a night via a third party website because they were too jobsworthy to do it at a slight discount to the price (booking.com and the like take 20% of the price).

From your postings on here, gavros, you are evidently a wealthy man. Which begs the question why the hell would you ponce about on some pikey voucher website so loved by chavvy secretary's at work?

The moral to this story is: don't be a tight arse cunt.

I’m surprised that booking.com etc still exist. Most decent hotels will guarantee that booking direct with them is the best price (Hilton will give you £50 and match the price if you find it cheaper elsewhere)

Re: SPLATTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, if you read the T&Cs then they're full of supplements for everything. Going on a day with a 'y' in it, staying in a hotel with a door - the headline price is bullshit unless you want to go at an awful time.
